Pill Reminder: Medication Log

About this policy
Pill Reminder: Medication Log is a medication recording and reminder app developed by Vasser Studios for iOS and Android. This policy describes the current app, which uses local storage and does not require an account.
Information stored on your device
The app stores the information you enter: profile names; medication names, strengths, forms and doses; schedules and dates; food instructions and notes; taken, skipped and unrecorded dose history; supply and refill information; and reminder preferences. Each local profile has its own records. A profile is not an online account and does not connect to another person’s phone.
Records are stored in the app’s private local storage. This version does not operate an account service, cloud synchronization, advertising or analytics in the mobile app, and does not upload medication records to a Vasser Studios server. It does not add a separate app lock or database-level encryption. Device security and access depend on your phone and its settings.
Reminders and device permissions
If you enable reminders, the app asks the operating system for notification permission. Android may also request Alarms & reminders access for more precise scheduling. Notification content can include the profile name, medication, strength and dose, and may be visible on your lock screen according to your settings. You can disable reminders in the app or change their visibility and permissions in your phone’s settings.
Reminder times use the phone’s local time zone when the app opens or resumes. The app does not need GPS location access for this. It queues a limited number of upcoming reminders and shows their coverage in its reminder settings. Open the app regularly to refresh them. Delivery can be affected by permissions, Focus modes, battery restrictions and other device settings.
Exports and sharing
Exporting dose history creates a CSV report containing profile names, medications, doses, scheduled and recorded times, statuses and notes. The app shows the selected profile scope before export and opens the phone’s share sheet so you choose the destination. That destination handles the copy under its own privacy practices.
The app and the operating-system sharing component can hold temporary copies of exported reports in the app’s cache. These copies remain until the system removes them or you use the deletion controls below. The Share this app feature shares public download links when available; it does not share profiles or medication records.
Retention and deletion
Records remain on your device until you delete them. Archiving a medication stops future doses but preserves its history; archiving is not permanent deletion.
- Delete a profile: Open People you care for, open the person’s options, choose Delete profile and confirm. This permanently removes that person’s profile, medications, schedules, dose history and notes. Other profiles’ records remain. If it was the final profile, the app returns to onboarding with no profiles. A new Me profile is created when you finish onboarding.
- Erase all app data: Open More → Privacy & data → Erase all app data and confirm. This removes all profiles, medications, schedules, history, notes and reminder preferences from the app and returns you to onboarding with no profiles and reminders off. A new Me profile is created only when you finish onboarding.
Both actions cancel the relevant app reminders and clear temporary app export copies, including cached sharing copies. Reports can contain several people, so deleting one profile clears cached reports for all profiles. If reminder or cache cleanup is interrupted, the app shows that cleanup remains pending and lets you retry; it also retries when the app starts or resumes. These actions cannot be undone within the app.
Copies you already saved or shared to another app, downloaded files outside this app, existing device backups and operating-system storage snapshots are outside these deletion controls. Manage those copies separately. We do not provide a cloud copy from which to restore your records. Removing the app and its associated data may also remove its local records; offloading an iOS app can retain its data.
Operating-system backups and services
Android app-data backup is disabled in this version. iOS backup behaviour follows your device settings. App stores, operating systems, device backups and diagnostic services may process installation, device or diagnostic information under their own policies. These are separate from this app’s local medication log.
People you care for
You can keep records for another person in a local profile. Only enter and export information you are entitled to manage, and consider who can access your phone or see its notifications. Installing a separate copy of this app does not invite another person into your profiles.
This policy website
This is the app’s single published privacy policy. Opening it visits the Vasser Studios website in your browser and does not send medication records. The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and uses Google Analytics with regional consent controls. These website services are separate from the mobile app. You can change website analytics choices using Cookie preferences. See the website privacy notice.
Privacy questions and changes
Published studio support options are listed on the contact page. We may update this policy when the app’s features or information practices change.
