Identify Any Fish support

Scans and rewarded ads

A completed rewarded ad supports each new AI attempt, including another identification of a saved photo. An uncertain result or failed attempt does not grant a free retry. If an ad is unavailable, try later; the app does not start a new identification without the completed reward.

Your private catches

Catches and map pins are stored on your device. There is no public feed. Export a ZIP backup before uninstalling or changing phones, then use Import my catches in Settings to restore it. Import merges with existing catches and skips duplicates. The current import limit is 150 MB. Backups include catch coordinates; keep them safe. Catch cards leave out your saved coordinates and private notes.

Optional location

Choose a region manually or use location controls when needed. Location is never requested at onboarding. Including coordinates in an AI scan is a separate choice. Location can be disabled in Settings.

Identification concerns and ad reports

AI results can be wrong. Do not use them to decide whether a fish is safe to eat or handle, or whether it can legally be kept. To report an incorrect result or inappropriate AI output, open the identification, choose Report identification from its menu, select a reason and send the report without leaving the app. The report excludes your photo, catch notes and catch coordinates. For other support or advertisement concerns, use our contact form. For an ad report, include the approximate time and advertiser; avoid private location details.
